Eva Marie Leaving For Acting Work Played Into Her WWE Release

Eva Marie left WWE in 2017, but she returned recently. Now she is already without job after a short return run in Vince McMahon’s company. The company might have sent a message with her release much like they did with Nia Jax.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Eva Marie might have been released because WWE held that acting hiatus against her. She tried Hollywood, but it didn’t work out. Then she returned and several things played against her, including the fact that she didn’t get over with fans.

Eva Marie just left WWE again for some acting work. Since she wasn’t on television then she was cut without having to explain anything in the storyline.

“She left to do some acting work right after she [returned] she wasn’t getting over. She’s not young, you know. Great look, of course, great look and all that, great body; but she left. So, I think that probably was held against her. She wasn’t getting over. It was an idea, but she wasn’t that good of a wrestler at all. It wasn’t going to work. They gave her a chance.”

Eva Maria will now continue her journey in fitness modeling and other acting opportunities. She might be one big role away from breaking out in Hollywood, but that hasn’t happened yet. Now she won’t have WWE on her agenda so she can focus on that.
