Zoey Stark Set For Knee Surgery After Injury On WWE NXT

Zoey Stark has been one of the mainstays of NXT television alongside her tag team partner Io Shirai. Zoey Stark was written off WWE television recently as well. Now it seems she will undergo surgery.

Current NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne ambushed Stark on the November 2nd episode of NXT 2.0. This was done as part of a storyline as Stark had legitimately suffered an injury.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Zoey Stark will be undergoing knee surgery soon.

Zoey Stark was injured in the women’s tag title ladder match on 10/26. She will be undergoing knee surgery shortly. On TV on 11/2 they had Gigi Dolin & Jacey Jayne beating her down and injuring her as the cover reason.

It remains to be seen how long Zoey Stark will be on the shelf as Io Shirai is all alone now. It is likely Shirai will be feuding with Toxic Attraction on her own for the time being.
