Title Match Announced For AEW Dynamite Tonight

AEW announced at the beginning of last night’s episode of Dark that the AAA Tag Team titles will be defended tonight on Dynamite. The company ran a promo video about the bout that was also shared to the promotion’s Twitter account. FTR will defend their titles in an open challenge to any luchadores that think they’re good enough to take the belts.

The old-school duo has been feuding with Penta and Phoenix for weeks over both the AAA and AEW tag titles. Tonight may be the start of the next chapter in their championship rivalry. Expect FTR to do pull some serious heel shenanigans for the open challenge. The addition of the title bout makes for a total of three announced contests for this week’s episode.

“#FTR are out to prove they are Lucha #LivingLegends and @DaxFTR + @CashWheelerFTR are issuing an open challenge to any luchadores for their @luchalibreaaa Tag Team Titles TOMORROW on #AEWDynamite with one exception: No #LuchaBros.”

Other matches will likely be announced for the card as we get closer to the show. For the time being, the three announced matches will take place. Tony Khan’s organization must also address what will happen with the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. Jon Moxley is checking into rehab center to deal with alcohol issues, meaning his scheduled tournament bout with Orange Cassidy won’t take place as planned.

The card for tonight’s AEW Dynamite can be viewed below. The show airs live on TNT at 8PM eastern and 5PM pacific. As usual, the card is subject to change.
