WWE Hall of Famer The Godfather was one of the top stars of the company during the early 90s. He had several changes in gimmick, including Papa Shango and was also part of the Nation Of Domination. When he embraced his Godfather gimmick in 1998, the WWE Hall Of Famer truly became well-known name in the company.

However, The Godfather’s controversial pimp gimmick received a ton of complaints from the Parents Television Council (PTC), due to which Vince McMahon cut the character off. He was rebranded into The Goodfather and even joined the Right to Censor faction.

The Godfather also recently revealed that he almost went to WCW for Virgil’s role, but Ron Simmons convinced him not to go. His finisher was also called The Ho Train, which many fans found funny.

While speaking with GOW Media 216, The Godfather talked about his Ho Train move and who came up with it. He revealed that Shane McMahon had a hand in it to an extent.

“I don’t know, calling it the Ho Train, I don’t know who came up with that. Me having girls was me, but the move the Ho Train, Shane McMahon came up with that. But I don’t know who came up with calling the girls the Ho Train. But Shane was like, ‘when you do that splash, you should do something where you shoot them in and wind up, you remember Soul Train? You should do it like, Ho Train,’ and I was like, ‘okay, I’ll try it.’ The name Ho Train, I don’t know who came up with that, probably me, or my wife, my wife comes up with a lot of that.”

Right to Censor was disbanded in 2001 and then The Godfather was allowed to revert back to his old pimp character before being released in 2002. Regardless, his contributions to the Attitude Era will never be forgotten as his career in WCW might not have been as memorable.
