Konnan is never one to keep his opinion to himself. He maintained that rock star outlook his entire career and will call things as he sees them. That includes speaking his mind about AEW and it didn’t even cost him a job.

AEW brought Konnan in for a few deals and that might have surprised some people in the back. After all, AEW has brought in a few surprising names at this point already.

Excuse Me: The Vickie Guerrero Show recently had Konnan in as a guest. He admitted that one unnamed AEW star went up to him and admitted that he was shocked that the company brought him in considering all the trash he talked about them in the past.

“I’ve actually had a star in AEW come up to me and go, ‘I can’t believe they hired you here, you s–t on us so much.’ I go, ‘correct. Let me correct you there, I don’t s–t on you. What’s good I put over, and what isn’t good I bury, and I do that with Raw too, and SmackDown, not just with you guys.’ Anyway, I love AEW and what they’re doing and I love the people there, much success to Tony Khan, I love that guy, he’s a real cool dude.”

Konnan might have dragged AEW in the past, but he was obviously making solid and fair enough points that it didn’t prevent Tony Khan from offering him a role on television. We’ll have to see what’s next for him in AEW, but the door is certainly still open for Konnan’s return.
