WWE has been getting a lot of business deals done lately. The company recently signed a trading card deal with Panini. Now, they’ve officially made new entry into the NFT (non-fungible token) collectible space.

In a press release posted by PWInsider, WWE announced a partnership with Blockchain Creative Labs, Fox Entertainment, and Bento Box Entertainment to offer fans limited-edition digital collectables. WWE Senior VP of Revenue Strategy & Development Scott Zanghellini spoke enthusiastically about the new venture.

“Blockchain Creative Labs has quickly become a leader in the space with an incredible executive team that truly understands the NFT arena and its tremendous potential. This new partnership allows us to deepen our relationship with FOX, as we continue to explore new and creative ways to engage our passionate fanbase.”

The partnership is banking on exclusivity for the NFTs driving demand. Fans will be able to store their collectibles in a digital wallet that allows purchases in both traditional money and cryptocurrency.

WWE and Fox are already business partners. Fox serves as the exclusive broadcast home of WWE Smackdown. This is Blockchain’s first venture into licensed products outside of Fox.

Blockchain has also produced NFT content for The Masked Singer. The company will also work with Emmy Award-winner Dan Harmon on his new animated series Krapopolis. It will be the first entirely blockchain-curated animated series.
