AEW kicked open the forbidden door in a big way and now wrestlers from Impact Wrestling, NJPW and more are able to compete on AEW television, event defend their titles. Another feud could be coming soon if Khan and Impact Wrestling head honcho Scott D’Amore give the green light.

Britt Baker and Deonna Purrazzo really want to wrestle each other, but that can’t happen so easily. The forbidden door is open, but it takes approval and cooperation between both companies. While speaking toFightful, Deonna Purrazzo confirmed that she got the ball rolling on making a match against Baker happen.

It is reported that Purrazzo has spoken to Scott D’Amore about a crossover feud with AEW. Her goal is to wrestle Britt Baker, and AEW’s resident dentist has also asked Tony Khan’s approval as well.

It was reported that “We haven’t heard of any progress on the potential, but it has been floated.” The idea is out there and everyone knows that it is doable, but obviously it hasn’t been booked.

Purrazzo said as currently constructed, it would be hard to satisfy all the bookers with a match result between the two since they’re both dominant champions. Purrazzo has pitched and mentioned working as a tag team and even competing for the Knockouts tag team Championships. She told us Baker and Chelsea Green are the only teammates she’s interested in picking up.

It is really hard to pull off a situation where you’re booking wrestlers from different companies in the same angle. A lot of things need to fall in place first, and at least they are working on making Baker vs Purrazzo happen.
