Keith Lee was absent from WWE television for several months and many fans were concerned about his status in the company. His partner Mia Yim refused to share details about his condition as well. Ultimately it was revealed that Keith Lee had a fight against death, which led to him not appearing on WWE television for so long.

Since his return to the company, Keith Lee has competed in a few matches on Monday Night RAW, especially against NXT Champion Karrion Kross. However, he has also competed in several dark matches on Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown as well.

Keith Lee also had several changes to his entrance, look and also his name. They changed his name yet again on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. He is now known as Bearcat Lee, which many fans don’t like whatsoever.

While speaking on Legion of RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo talked about Keith Lee’s current booking in WWE. Russo claimed that Keith Lee will never manage to get over with fans.

“Bro, I get so much heat, but because of my experience and all the talents that I worked with and stuff and I could sit here and tell you, never going to get over, never going to get over, never going to get over, and I’m telling you from a casual fan’s point of view. That’s what I’m telling you from, and I said it with all these guys, bro; I said it with every single one of these guys.”

Jim Cornette previously stated that Keith Lee could be making his way to AEW after the way he is being treated in WWE. We will have to wait and see whether Keith Lee will ever make his way to AEW due to WWE’s problematic booking.
