Bryan Danielson recently wrestled to a time limit draw with AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at AEW’s Grand Slam. The match drew widespread praise from fans and journalists everywhere. The match left Danielson hobbled. Omega used his performance to tell the haters what he thought of them.

Danielson recently shared his thoughts on the match. It is rare for wrestlers to rate their matches publicly, but it’s clear Bryan is proud of this one. He gave the bout a perfect 10 on a scale of 10.

The former WWE champion and current AEW talent spoke with Jim Varsallone about the match. He was candid in his thoughts and talked about how he learns by watching back his own matches.

“So yeah, I wasn’t worried if we knocked it out of the park or hit a grand slam, I worry about, ‘Did I enjoy what I just did?’ And as far as my enjoyment, that’s a 10/10 as far as you look at, ‘Okay, well which matches did you enjoy the most?’ If you rank everything on a scale of 1 to 10, that was a 10/10 enjoyment for me in the sense that there are only a handful of matches that are even comparable. So yeah, to me, it was just a ton of fun. And then what I do after is a day or two later, I’ll go back and watch it, and that’s where I’ll pick myself apart. And that’s the point that I go back and learn, and so – ’cause I find that if you’re too, if you come back and the first thing you’re worried about is, ‘Did we do a good job?’ Then all of a sudden, you aren’t enjoying it as much as you could.”

Bryan Danielson debuted for All Elite Wrestling at the All Out pay-per-view and has been on fire ever since. He most recently wrestled Minoru Suzuki in a YouTube-exclusive bout that aired commercial free before Rampage.

Danielson is scheduled to compete in the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament which begins this Friday. He will face Dustin Rhodes in the first round. The tournament also includes Dark Order’s 10, Jon Moxley, Orange Cassidy, Powerhouse Hobbs, Lance Archer, and Eddie Kingston.
