Cameron Grimes, the top hat-wearing NXT superstar who recently blew off a feud with LA Knight appears to be moving on to bigger and better things. Rumors are running rampant that Grimes will soon be getting a totally new look.

Grimes most recently appeared in a program involving WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase. The Million Dollar Man declared Grimes the Million Dollar Champion and he feuded with LA Knight over the pretend title. DiBiase left Grimes with a fake belt, turning on him and ending the storyline.

This week on NXT 2.0, Grimes began a storyline where Grayson Waller taught him how to use a dating app. Waller gave Grimes some advice on how to meet a woman. Grayson said that Grimes needed to do was some manscaping and to learn to use a dating app.

Waller advised Grimes that it was about “likes and swipes.” Grimes appeared intrigued as he absorbed the advice and appeared intrigued by the dating app. This could be the setup for Grimes to be repackaged.

According to a report from WrestlingNews.co, Grimes wasn’t drafted to the main roster because WWE head Vince McMahon demanded changes to the presentation of his character. This news and the nature of the segment on NXT this week appear to coincide.

Grimes is currently 28 and considered to be a part of the youth movement being pushed by WWE. The veteran debuted in 2009 as Trevor Lee and has worked in PWG and Impact, where he was a three-time X Division and one-time tag team champion.
