Xavier Woods defeated Ricochet in the opening round of the King of the Ring tournament. Later on, Jinder Mahal defeated Kofi Kingston in a second opening round match. This means Mahal and Woods will face each other next week.

Shayna Baszler then defeated Dana Brooke in a first round match in the Queen’s Crown tournament, and Corey Graves didn’t bury Brooke as badly this week. The Savior of Misbehavior was still able to throw a bit of shade. Later on, Doudrop beat Natalya to cement her spot in next week’s semi-finals against Shayna Baszler.

In case you need a refresher, Carmella defeated Liv Morgan on SmackDown and Zelina Vega beat Toni Storm. That set up Carmella vs Zelina Vega this week on SmackDown.

Also, Finn Balor beat Cesaro and Sami Zayn defeated Rey Mysterio. This set up Zayn vs Balor on SmackDown in the semi-finals.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
