Johnny Gargano’s WWE NXT Status As Contract Ticks Down

Johnny Gargano is a former NXT Champion and he has done just about everything possible in the black and gold brand. He even made the transition into NXT 2.0 where he is still a featured performer. The fact that his WWE contract is ticking down is also very interesting point for fans to consider.

Gargano’s WWE contract expires in early December, but there is a thought that the company will approach him with a new deal in the Fall. Until a report surfaces about his next move in the pro wrestling world, fans will continue keeping the rumor mill churning.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Johnny Gargano is still slated to take part in NXT 2.0 angles in the upcoming weeks. There is apparently not much concern regarding his next move, because nobody has been alerted that a change is on the way.

There is nothing at all to that right now in the sense he’s with NXT and he’s got stuff written in for future shows and nobody internally has been alerted that anything has changed with his status. But his current contract does expire on 12/3

It’s hard to believe that AEW wouldn’t consider Johnny Gargano if he decides to look elsewhere. Candice LeRae’s deal runs out after Gargano’s, sometime in 2022. It is unknown how LeRae’s current pregnancy will change her contract expiration as the company could freeze her deal.
