Marty Scurll was in a great spot with Ring of Honor prior to the #SpeakingOut Movement. He was a featured performer and even booked their television shows. Then he was released from the company after a story surfaced that he had sexual relations with a 16-year-old girl years ago. Now The Villain is back.

Scurll is now being advertised for Halloween Fan Fest, a CWA event, on October 23rd, 2021. This marks an attempt at getting back into the pro wrestling world since he was cancelled during the #SpeakingOut Movement.

He will wrestle at the show for the first time since early 2021. This event will take place in Puerto Rico. Needless to say, some fans are not happy that he received this booking.

Scurll was seemingly on AEW’s radar to bring him in once his ROH deal expired. Tony Khan’s company has not looked his direction since the #SpeakingOut Movement either. Scurll was not the only person called out in the #SpeakingOut Movement, but his response to the matter included an admission to the story.

We will have to see if this appearance results in more down the line for Scurll. He has a ton of talent, but that re-surfaced story during the #SpeakingOut Movement caused his career to come to a screeching halt.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
