Marty Scurll’s name came up in the #SpeakingOut movement. Since then he has been removed from his position as head booker of ROH. The company is now carrying on without him.

ROH is conducting an investigation, but their parent company Sinclair Broadcasting moves terribly slow in matters like this. Now fans and Marty Scurll alike are waiting for the company’s determination.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez brought up Scurll’s current situation. He is not with ROH right now, but he hasn’t been released. Scurll is currently “iced” until Sinclair determines what they are going to do.

“Nothing has changed. There is an investigation by Sinclair. I have been told they move ‘glacially slow’ that has been proven to be true. He’s not involved with Ring Of Honor at all right now so everything he’s doing with their closed-set tapings and whatever they’ve got to get ready for television he’s had no involvement in that, he’s just iced and we’re waiting for Sinclair to make whatever decision Sinclair is going to make. It could come in 2025, maybe later, I don’t know. Maybe earlier we’ll have to wait and see.”

Marty Scurll wasn’t the only person called out in the #SpeakingOut movement. Several other names were mentioned and plenty of changes were made throughout the pro wrestling industry to create a safer space for everyone involved.

As of right now, Marty Scurll is not doing anything with ROH so he won’t be included in the next eight weeks of television that the company just taped.
