Impact Wrestling recorded content for their television shows over the weekend and many things went according to plan. Sami Callihan is on a hot streak and looking for that ever-present push, but he suffered an injury.

According to Dave Meltzer, Callihan broke his ankle and required surgery. His expected return date should be Spring of next year. It was not noted exactly what happened in the spot where he was injured, but it took place on Saturday.

We’re sending our best to Sami Callihan, because this is a very unfortunate event to suffer. He will still be under contract with Impact Wrestling when his recovery time should be up. That wait for his return will also likely give Callihan the ability to attack the roster with even more focus and motivation.
