WWE let a lot of wrestlers go in recent memory and AEW is a logical landing pad for a few of them. Two more former NXT Superstars ended up in Tony Khan’s company today.

Click here for our complete spoilers for the AEW Dark tapings at Universal Studios.

Stallion Rogers and Anthony Greene were released by WWE in the company’s recent wave of firings. The NXT brand lost two great wrestlers and it didn’t take very long at all for them to appear for AEW.

The company is holding their Universal Studios tapings today. Rogers and Greene were there as a team to face FTR. We’re not going to spoil anything here, but that match looks great on paper.

We’ll have to see if this appearance for Greene and Rogers extends past this one-off deal for Dark and Elevation tapings. If anything, it is certainly a foot in the door.
