Cody Rhodes faced Malakai Black at AEW Homecoming, and that was not a good night for the American Nightmare. He suffered a big defeat at the hands of the former Aleister Black and then Cody took off. That hiatus is set to end eventually, because he was just out of action to film the Go Big Show.

Rhodes is still a judge on the Go Big Show, TBS’s variety game show, and he appears to really enjoy that gig. It still takes him out of action from AEW whenever that opportunity comes around. This was the second season of the show, and that called for another absence for the Grandson of a Plumber.

According to a report from Bodyslam.net, Cody Rhodes’ return should be expected within this month, and they have big plans in store for him.

I have learned after speaking with sources that Cody Rhodes is set to make his return to AEW television within the month. Additionally, was also told there are big plans for him upon his return.

We will have to see what AEW has planned for Cody Rhodes. Odds are he will set his target at Malakai Black since the former NXT Champion started taking out all of the members of the Nightmare Family after his departure.
