WWE is promoting a big SmackDown supershow for Madison Square Garden next week, but don’t expect The Undertaker. The WWE legend bid farewell to WWE at Survivor Series last year and that hiatus is not ending next week in New York City.

A report came out saying that The Undertaker is expected for the supershow in MSG. We were contacted by several of our awesome readers to verify if this is true. Sadly, the Deadman will remain away from WWE television.

Ringside News has confirmed that there are no plans for the Undertaker to make a return during SmackDown next week. Any report about return plans at this point is fabricated.

The Undertaker’s final match was a Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36, and he rode off into the sunset. He did return for a Final Farewell at Survivor Series in the ThunderDome, but that is where his story with WWE ended for now.

You can never count out a return for an appearance of some kind, because The Undertaker is still under hefty legends contract. The fact is that any hope of his return to WWE television next week should be channeled elsewhere.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
