CM Punk Would ‘Love To See’ AJ Lee Return To Pro Wrestling

Former Diva’s Champion AJ Lee’s influence in the pro wrestling world cannot be understated. After CM Punk made his debut in AEW, many fans wanted AJ Lee to follow suit and join her husband. Lee also reacted to CM Punks AEW debut, but she has yet to respond to fans clamouring for her in-ring return.

AJ Lee’s success story in WWE is certainly a remarkable one, to say the least as she is given credit for helping to jumpstart the WWE’s Women’s Revolution. She left pro wrestling back in 2015, but fans continue to wonder if she’ll ever come back.

CM Punk also recently shut down rumors of AJ Lee making her return to the pro wrestling world.

While speaking during an appearance on WFAN’s Moose & Maggie, CM Punk talked about AJ Lee returning to the squared circle. Punk reiterated the fact that it’s unlikely she’ll come back but added that he would love to see her return nonetheless.

I would love to see it. I get asked that question every single time I do an interview and I love it. I absolutely love it. I don’t (think she wants to do it), because she’s a teeny tiny person and she has a bad neck. I think the shelf life for females in wrestling, wrestling a full schedule, is a lot shorter, it’s a lot smaller then men. And I think she’s so focused on what she’s doing now, writing screenplays. She’s working on a million different projects, being pulled in so many directions. I think she would probably, maybe be receptive to the idea of coming back, but that can’t even enter her vocabulary right now. She’s so focused on the movie scripts and TV adaptation of a book she’s working on.

AJ Lee’s return to the pro wrestling world would definitely be received well, regardless of whether company she goes to. We will have to wait and see what AJ Lee will decide to do in the end.
