Many fans would agree that WWE’s product has fallen a lot when it comes to quality. The current product has a lot of flaws including 50/50 booking, feuds that don’t go anywhere, teams splitting up for no reason and storylines not making sense. The disinterest of the fans is reflected in the dwindling ratings of Monday Night RAW over the past few years.

On the other hand, AEW has all the momentum in the world right now thanks to the debut of CM Punk and the imminent debut of Daniel Bryan to the company. Punk’s return helped bring back more fans to the product as well.

While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Chris Jericho claimed that AEW Dynamite will defeat Monday Night RAW in ratings in the next four to six months.

“Sooner or later, we’re going to start beating RAW. It’s not going to be every week, but I bet you over the next 2-4 months, maybe 4-6, we’re going to start beating RAW, and that’s my prediction that I’m saying to you guys right here. And the reason for that is we keep talking about the cool factor, but it’s the storytelling. We don’t panic, we don’t rush. We live in our own world and we book accordingly. We book smartly, if you watch our show it’s like watching the first three Star Wars episodes—one thing always leads to the next and sometimes you’ll see where the seeds were planted months earlier, but we always know what we want to do and where we want to go.”

We certainly wonder if pro wrestling as a whole will improve their storylines, especially WWE in this case. Chris Jericho is certainly confident about AEW’s chances but it remains to be seen whether AEW Dynamite will defeat Monday Night RAW in ratings or not eventually.

h/t to Wrestlezone for the quotes.
