New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom events continue to be a highlight for pro wrestling fans all over the world. It seems next year’s Wrestle Kingdom event will be different from past iterations.

NJPW officially announced that next year’s Wrestle Kingdom 16 will be taking place over three separate days and also in two different arenas. The January 4th event became a two-night affair back in 2020 and that was the case for this year’s as well.

Next year, NJPW will still host the January 4th and January 5th Tokyo Dome shows and then on January 8th, they will host Wrestle Kingdom 16 in the Yokohama Arena.

It will mark the first huge event of NJPW’s 50th Anniversary year. However, it is not known how this significant change will impact the usual New Year’s Dash event that takes place after Wrestle Kingdom.
