Jake Crist appeared on Impact Wrestling to accept Josh Alexander’s open challenge. This was a big moment for the former oVe member, but that doesn’t mean he inked a new deal with the company.

According to Fightful Select, Jake Crist is well-liked backstage in the company. His creative mind is also greatly valued for the ideas he brings to the table. As of this writing, he is still a free agent working under a per-appearance deal.

We’ve been told that Crist was well liked within the company, and we had several sources within the company specifically mention his creative mind as one of the potential benefits of him being back around the company. As of the appearance, Crist remained a free agent and is not signed by IMPACT.

Jake Crist worked on his physique in a big way since his Impact Wrestling departure. He felt that he was unfairly lumped in with his brother Dave Crist and those awful allegations that surfaced during the #SpeakingOut movement. Now Jake Crist is back, but it’s not a full-time deal. We will have to see if that changes in time.
