Since leaving WWE back in 2014, many fans simply lost hope that CM Punk would ever return to pro wrestling. However, the impossible happened as CM Punk debuted on this week’s AEW Rampage: The First Dance. He was in talks with AEW for quite long time as well.

Daniel Bryan is a veteran in the pro wrestling business, having wrestled in various promotions all over the world before making his way to WWE. Bryan already changed up his look ahead of his next pro wrestling venture.

Many believe Daniel Bryan’s AEW debut will be huge deal and it seems that includes CM Punk as well from the looks of it.

While speaking to The New York Post, CM Punk was asked about Daniel Bryan making his way to AEW. Punk stated that Bryan is someone he wants to compete against soon and continued to hype up his potential AEW debut.

“That’s somebody that I look at and I go, man wrestling him was always fun. It was never a headache and God I would like to do that again. I would like to do that again soon. It’s a big deal. The guy was in the WrestleMania main event. He’s freshly removed from television. He’s a big deal. He’s a very, very big deal and I think that signals to pro wrestling fans that this is the place to be. This is what I want to watch.”

Daniel Bryan can use his old WWE theme in AEW as well. With Bryan Danielson set to make his debut at AEW All Out on September 5, we will have to wait and see how his debut will be received by fans and pro wrestlers alike.
