WWE is gearing up for another draft shortly, and it seems that they could be dropping hints about what’s to come already. Drew McIntyre took the pinfall in a triple threat match on RAW this week, and that caught some big attention.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted how it appears that Drew McIntyre is headed to SmackDown. He mentioned how WWE will typically have someone lose a few high profile matches on their brand before they get switched over, especially when you’re talking about someone in a top spot on the card.

Following his pinfall loss, Drew McIntyre rose to his feet and extended a babyface handshake to Damian Priest. The WWE United States Champion accepted that handshake and a lot of respect was given. That could be another indication that McIntyre is wrapping up his time on the red team.

The next WWE draft isn’t until October, but WWE could be setting the stage for some Superstars to make their exit. It should be noted that a rumor about McIntyre going over to SmackDown and stepping up to Roman Reigns has been on the table for a while. Reigns even said he wouldn’t have any problem passing the torch to the Scottish Warrior.
