WWE holds an annual draft to shake up the rosters. RAW and SmackDown are supposed to change enough to keep things fresh and the viewers engaged. Now fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the 2021 WWE Draft.

The original dates for the draft were August 31st and September 3rd. Now it looks like they have shaken up those plans to shake things up. The new dates for the WWE Draft look like October.

Andrew Zarian, of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, tweeted out to say that he has heard that October 4th is now a new date for the 2021 WWE Draft. He was not given a second date, so now there are a few options.

So hearing some changes.

Previous had reported the draft would take place 8/31 & 9/3. Hearing it’s getting delayed by a month.

I was just told a 10/4 date but not sure if that’s night one or two

So the possible dates now are:

10/1, 10/4 or 10/4,10/8

We’ll have to see what WWE decides to do. They have a lot of options on the table when it comes to stacking their schedule as live fans return. Pushing the WWE Draft back to October will also allow this current roster more of an opportunity to perform in front of live fans.

What’s your take on WWE pushing back the WWE Draft? Sound off in the comments!
