Io Shirai’s Current WWE NXT Status Revealed

Io Shirai disappeared from WWE NXT television after winning the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles with Zoey Starks. The two had a bit of an Odd Couple deal for a bit, but then she disappeared. The big question is where Io went.

According to Fightful Select, Io Shirai is healthy and able to work. She simply hasn’t been utilized in recent memory. In fact, Shirai was around and participated in the last set of NXT television tapings.

We’re told Shirai is fine and wrestled on this past week’s set of NXT tapings. She’s said to be healthy and fine. 

The NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles are still firmly around the waists of Io Shirai and Zoey Starks, but they don’t seem to have any challengers yet. We’ll have to see what happens next, but there is no need to worry about Io Shirai disappearing from NXT television right now.
