WWE doesn’t want to lose some people on their roster despite some fans longing to see those Superstars perform elsewhere. Shinsuke Nakamura is man who many fans have wanted to see go back to NJPW or even venture to AEW. Shinsuke Nakamura is happy in WWE, and he’s not going anywhere.

During the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, Andrew Zarian confirmed that Shinsuke Nakamura signed a contract extension with WWE. It was not noted how much time he signed on for, but Nakamura is sticking around.

“Nakamura did [sign contract extension], but Nakamura is so happy.”

Zarian also noted that a guy like Shinsuke Nakamura scratched and clawed his entire career to get to a point where he is at, and he’s banged up with injuries. WWE provides him with a great source of income, and he gets to perform on a level where he’s not killing himself in every match.

Some might like to see the King of Strong Style in NJPW once again, but he’s happy with Rick Boogs on SmackDown.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
