Alberto Del Rio Salutes John Cena After He Bid Farewell To WWE Fans

Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio remains a highly controversial figure in the pro wrestling world. He is facing several charges of sexual assault and could end up in jail for his entire life if convicted. He still did have a good pro wrestling career nonetheless. It seems he also has a lot of respect for John Cena even now.

During his time in WWE, Alberto Del Rio become a World Champion multiple times and defeated the best of the best the company had to offer, including John Cena.

John Cena already took to social media and informed fans that he will see them soon, after his shocking loss to Roman Reigns at WWE SummerSlam. Cena will not be appearing on WWE television after the September 10th episode of Friday Night Smackdown either.

In light of John Cena’s heartfelt message to his fans, Alberto Del Rio took to Twitter and sent a message to John Cena, making it clear that he has a great deal of respect for him and that Del Rio respects Cena. The caption, when translated from Spanish, put Cena over in huge fashion.

My eternal rival, John Cena, said goodbye today to the fans of wrestling to dedicate himself to his many projects outside the ring. Good to know that he was able to return in another position and bring more eyes to our industry. I salute you John!

John Cena already stated that he wants to contribute to WWE once he makes his return to the company after his Hollywood obligations are done with. We will have to wait and see when the leader of Cenation will make his return to the company.
