CM Punk is on his way back to pro wrestling by means of AEW. That means a debut on Rampage is very likely this week and fans aren’t the only ones of that opinion. Ringside News exclusively reported that Punk signed a deal with the company. There are people at the TNT network who are expecting the Second City Savior as well.

According to a report from Fightful Select, CM Punk’s name made its way to TNT. “Multiple people” have said that there is excitement about bringing CM Punk onto the network. They are also “very aware” of the situation, and see a lot of marketing possibilities on top of everything else.

Fightful spoke with multiple people involved with WarnerMedia and TNT, who spoke of the excitement of bringing in CM Punk, and noted that he’ll have their promotional machine behind him upon his return.

It is unclear exactly what that extra promotional activity will entail, but they are apparently making big plans for CM Punk in AEW. There was some note about excitement over the Chicago Bulls tie-in that will come with CM Punk’s United Center debut for the company. WarnerMedia wants to capitalize on that as well.
