WWE RAW Sees Substantial Viewership Increase This Week

WWE brought the go-home episode of Raw before SummerSlam this week. They added two matches to the biggest party of the summer, and concluded the night with Goldberg. How did the viewership turn out?

According to Showbuzz Daily, WWE Raw’s August 16th episode drew an overnight average of 1.857 million viewers. They also attained a .55 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

The August 9th edition of Monday Night Raw drew an overnight average of 1,790,000 viewers. 629,000 of those viewers were in the coveted 18 to 49 demographic to give them a .49 rating. Both viewership and the key demographic rating fell significantly from last week.

On August 3rd, WWE RAW brought in an overnight average of 1,821,000 viewers on average. 657,000 viewers were from the target 18 to 49 demographic which gave them a 0.51 rating.

July 27th saw WWE Raw bring in 1,814,000 viewers against Olympic competition. They also earned a .49 in the coveted 18 to 49 demographic. 635,000 of those viewers were members of the key demographic, 6% down from the last week; but still a good turnout considering the competition.

The July 20th edition of WWE Raw drew 1,923,000 overnight viewers on average for the three-hour broadcast. They also pulled a .57 rating in the 18-49 demographic, 741,000 of those viewers were in the key demo.

Viewership was at 1.609 million viewers for the July 13th episode. That week’s sad viewership number ranked as the 5th lowest for Raw since the show’s premiere. It seems that live fans have improved WWE’s viewership, but it is still difficult to maintain a high viewership average throughout a three-hour broadcast.
