WWE promoted big show for tonight and they billed it as a Championship Tuesday. Their big night with two planned title matches has been cut down by one.
NXT General Manager William Regal revealed to fans that KUSHIDA is not cleared for action tonight. He was slated to defend the Cruiserweight Title against Roderick Strong. Now that match isn’t happening, but an open challenge will take place instead.
Unfortunately after a medical examination, officials learned @KUSHIDA_0904 is not cleared to compete tonight. When I informed @Malcolmvelli and @roderickstrong, they expressed Roderick’s desire to compete.
Therefore, #WWENXT will begin with a #DiamondMine open challenge.
We are uncertain why KUSHIDA has to miss tonight’s television tapings. This is obviously not what they planned. The NXT Tag Team Championships will still be defended as MSK takes on Imperium. They will also continue the build toward TakeOver 36. Dexter Lumis & Indi Hartwell will also take on Jessi Kamea & Robert Stone in mixed tag team action.
