WWE is well aware that the COVID-19 pandemic is seeing a spike in infections. They are also prepared for the possibility that large gatherings could be nixed in some regions. Hopefully, that doesn’t happen, but they are not taking any chances. Ringside News exclusively reported that all talent and staff must be tested for COVID-19 prior to every event, and that is not the only edict that the company handed down.

SummerSlam’s location, Clark County, Nevada, has mask mandate in place. Every fan inside Allegiant Stadium should be masked up for the biggest party of the summer. Fans won’t be the only people forced to wear masks.

Ringside News was told by a tenured member of the backstage team that all Superstars and staff are under a “24/7 mask mandate except while eating or drinking.” That applies to everyone without exception.

The company experienced a couple COVID-19 outbreaks already and they obviously want to make sure that doesn’t happen again. They have not mandated vaccines, but masks are now required for everyone in the backstage area.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
