Kacy Catanzaro & More NXT Superstars Backstage For WWE SmackDown

WWE has their eye on a few NXT Superstars for main roster call-ups and they are trying some of those candidates out with dark matches. We’re not entirely sure what Vince McMahon’s plan ever is, but they have a few NXT Superstars backstage prior to the blue brand’s show this week.

According to a report from PW Insider, Ridge Holland, Kacy Catanzaro, and Xia Li are all backstage before SmackDown this week. All three of those names are interesting additions to the backstage area on SmackDown.

Ridge Holland just returned from gruesome injury that made mainstream headlines. He is a dominate presence on the black and gold brand and the former pro rugby player could be a big asset to Vince McMahon.

Kacy Catanzaro comes from American Ninja Warrior fame, but she has spent years training at the WWE Performance Center. Her unique set of abilities make her a standout and she has already competed in a Women’s Royal Rumble match in the past.

Xia Li appears to be on her way up to the main roster as well. She was absent from NXT this week as Boa did not have her around for his match. We’re hoping for the best when it comes to her call-up.
