Several Members From NXT Roster Backstage At WWE RAW

WWE will sometimes invite NXT Superstars to their live events for dark matches prior to the show. We’re not certain why these Superstars are backstage this week, but there are several faces from the black and gold brand present tonight.

According to a report from PW Insider, Xia Li, Aliyah, Odyssey Jones, Austin Theory, and Dakota Kai are all backstage at RAW this week. All of those people have competed in dark matches in the past.

Aliyah was reportedly traded to Raw for Mandy Rose who was sent back to NXT. We’ll have to see how long it takes for her to make an on-screen debut. WWE records Main Event prior to Raw, so they might appear on that show.

WWE has their eye on several NXT Superstars for main roster tryouts. They are also trimming a number of names off their roster, and more cuts are very likely.

Raw is also in Orlando this week, home of the WWE Performance Center. It’s not that difficult for any of those NXT Superstars to make the show this week since they are so close to the venue anyway.
