Max Caster trended on social media when a dig about Simone Biles’ mental health and the Duke lacrosse team made the air on AEW Dark. Tony Khan wants to make sure they do not repeat that mistake.

Tony Khan said in his appearance on Busted Open Radio that he will be taking over editing on both AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation after controversy surrounding Max Caster’s rap on last night’s episode of Dark. He was very straight-forward about taking over that role. Khan said he did not go over those lines with Caster beforehand either.

Max Caster appeared on AEW Dark and rapped to the ring in his usual fashion. Last night on Dark his rap was particularly controversial in the eyes of fans. Caster made made several remarks that were received negatively by fans including one about gymnast Simone Biles.

Khan said that he was also not present with the production team at the time of Caster’s rap. Khan said that he did not hear Caster’s rap until the episode aired last night, because he was outside. After Caster’s rap made it to air, Khan himself will now be in charge of the editing for Dark and Dark: Elevation going forward.

AEW pulled the episode of Dark, edited it, and re-posted it. We will have to see if Max Caster’s raps are a bit tamer from now.
