Adam “Hangman” Page is on a long road to the AEW World Title. He had an opportunity to become the company’s first champion, but that honor went to Chris Jericho. Nearly three years after the company started, he is still working toward that title.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed this current booking situation with Hangman Page, The Dark Order and Page lost that big elimination tag team match, so they are not getting title opportunities. That also apparently means that Hangman won’t be working the September 5th pay-per-view either.

“Yeah, [Hangman is] not on the show and I don’t know who Omega is wrestling, obviously, from the TV it looks like Christian. That’s just the situation.”

We’ll have to see what AEW has in store for Hangman Page. It appears that he will not have a big match at All Out. A lot of signs are pointing toward Christian as Kenny Omega’s next challenger, but there are also some huge names entering the company’s landscape soon that could cause a huge change in creative direction.
