Roman Reigns was going to have a SummerSlam match with Finn Balor, but then plans changed. We also have to wonder how match contracts in WWE work at this point.

Cena and Balor were ready to sign the contracts to have their SummerSlam match. The contracts were drawn up, and then they cut promos on each other. Suddenly, Baron Corbin made his way to the ring.

Corbin tried to get the match instead, and then a skirmish ensued, because Corbin was gong to steal the contract.

Suddenly, John Cena ran down and signed the contract instead. Cena signed next to Finn Balor’s name, but Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce later confirmed that it was good enough for them to have Reigns and Cena’s signatures on the contract.

Now John Cena vs Roman Reigns is officially set for August 21st at SummerSlam in Las Vegas.
