Cody Rhodes has a few other projects going at the same time. He has a reality television show called Rhodes To The Top which is currently in production, and he is a judge on the Go Big Show. That competition show will start shooting again soon.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer broke down the timing of Cody vs Malakai Black and how it could lead to another hiatus from the American Nightmare.

“Because Cody’s leaving for the TV show I gotta figure that Malakai Black wins the match this coming Wednesday, which he should either way because it’s his first match and everything, and I mean, we’ll see what happens. They’ve done such a good job with Malakai Black that people are seeing him as a huge star and it was not that way in WWE.”

We’ll have to see what AEW has planned for Malakai Black. It is possible that CM Punk and Bryan Danielson’s emergence in AEW could change Malakai Black’s future stories, as two huge names are bound to alter a lot of plans. If anything, fans can probably expect a real war at Daily’s Place for Homecoming.
