AEW presented a match with no rules this week on Dynamite for Fight For The Fallen, and it was quite a bloody spectacle. Nick Gage cut Chris Jericho up and they involved plenty of dangerous toys in the process. This was not something that they blindsided TNT with at all.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Tony Khan spoke to TNT prior to Jericho vs Gage to let them know how far they would be going. This was not something that they aired without getting permission, because that might result in a very bad situation with the network.

“I know Tony Khan talked to TNT ahead of time and told them what was going to happen, so they’re okay with it. It’s not an issue where they’re gonna get kicked off the air which would be, you know, very very bad if they did something this violent without telling them and it was bloody with broken glass and everything.”

We will have to see how the ultra violence does in terms of viewership. A lot of fans were very curious to see how that match would go down and they got a crimson covered contest, for sure. Chris Jericho won and he will continue his Labours of Jericho next week as he faces Juventud Guerrera.
