WWE never brought CM Punk back to the company after he walked out in 2014, but their fans haven’t forgotten about him at all. That has resulted in numerous events to be filled with “CM Punk” chants for a variety of reasons.

Fans will sometimes chant for CM Punk during WWE events to show their disapproval of something in the ring. Other times they chant his name because they really want to see him make a return. The subject of CM Punk chants is coming up more than ever now.

AEW fans had reason to chant “CM Punk” during Fight For The Fallen when the company’s August 20th date at the United Center was revealed. Sean Sapp posed a question on Twitter to ask if CM Punk chants will stop in WWE now that he’s in AEW, but Kevin Nash had a very interesting reply.

“Who cares?”

It seems that Big Sexy doesn’t care about those fan chants. One thing we know is that no fan chant is going to change WWE’s mind about CM Punk. There has been no interest or talks about bringing him back in a very, very long time. Ringside News ran an exclusive about WWE’s internal reaction to signing CM Punk and you can check that out here.
