WWE has axed a lot of employees over the past few months. They fired over 60 people at once to merge various divisions into one department overseen by Kevin Dunn. They also fired a list of Superstars and other employees on many different levels. They are not finished cutting the bottom line.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE had more corporate layoffs in a few departments. Marketing, shop areas, and other customer product areas were hit by these layoffs. It was not confirmed if any more talent cuts are expected.

“Several people” who were fired by WWE were reportedly told that “there’s a good chance they could be brought back.” We will have to see if WWE hires back any employees and whether their compensation changes.

WWE is about to report their second quarter 2021 earnings. They are always looking for ways to cut the bottom line and layoffs are apparently going to continue as common practice.
