WWE SmackDown Viewership Falls This Week With Big Olympic Competition

WWE brought another show to FOX this week with live fans. John Cena kicked off the broadcast, and it was a packed show. How did the viewership turn out?

TVSeriesFinale reports that the show brought in 2.04 million viewers. They also garnered a .50 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. That was a bit of a fall from last week, but they also had the Olympic Games’ opening ceremony as competition which garnered 10.44 million viewers.

According to Spoiler TV, WWE brought in an overnight average of 2.148 million viewers last week for their return to live touring. They also garnered a .6 rating in the coveted 18 to 49 demographic. The hourly breakdown was not noted.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown brought in an overnight average of 1.881 million viewers during the two-hour broadcast the previous week. They also earned a .45 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown pulled in 1.741 overnight viewers the previous week. They earned 1.699 for the first hour and 1.782 in the second.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown brought in an overnight average of 1.913 million fans the previous week. They also garnered a .5 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

SmackDown drew an average of 1.928 million viewers in the previous week. That episode had a Hell in a Cell Universal Title match between Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio attached. They also garnered a .5 in the 18-49 demographic. That is a bit up from the previous week, but not by much.

The previous week’s show brought in 1.853 million viewers in the overnight ratings. The 18-49 demographic was not mentioned, but this is a slight viewership rise from the previous week.

Brandon Thurston reported that the week prior’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown drew an overnight average of 1.8 million viewers. They also pulled in a .7 in the 18-49 demographic. That viewership number was up from the previous week.

The previous week Spoiler TV reported that WWE Friday Night SmackDown drew an overnight average of 1.755 million viewers this week. They also garnered a .40 in the coveted 18-49 demographic. That Memorial Day weekend number was quite a fall from the previous week..

According to TV Line, the week prior’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown garnered an overnight average of 1.93 million viewers, up from the previous week. That episode was main evented by the big four-way IC Title match.

The week before that, the go-home show before WWE WrestleMania Backlash, drew an overnight average of 1.80 million viewers, according to TV Line. They also scored a .4 in the 18-49 demographic. That is quite a fall from last week.

The previous week’s Throwback Edition of SmackDown brought in an overnight average of 2.157 million viewers with a .6 in the 18-49 demographic. The Friday Night SmackDown after WrestleMania drew an overnight average of 1.9965 with a .5 in the 18-49 demographic.

The week before that saw WWE Friday Night SmackDown bring an overnight average of 2.0795 million viewers. The week before that drew an overnight average of 2.036 million viewers. This was a bit up from the week before, but not by a ton.
