Daniel Bryan has reportedly signed contract with AEW. That will see him arrive in All Elite Wrestling, with a plausible debut date for September 22nd in Flushing, New York.

There is a report going around saying that AEW and Daniel Bryan have been talking for some time. It is also alleged that WWE hasn’t spoken about Daniel Bryan at all backstage.

According to Bodyslam.net, who first broke this story, AEW and Daniel Bryan didn’t enter into talks until just a couple of weeks ago. The thought came up in May, but they didn’t actually enter into talks until just recently.

I was told that internally it was first discussed to bring him in occurred back in May following his contract expiring with WWE. However no discussion or negotiations were happening at that time, it was purely conjecture then. Talks and negotiations between the two sides did not actually begin until sometime over the last couple of weeks.

It wasn’t until recently when WWE removed Daniel Bryan from all future projects and promotional materials. Up until that point, there was some hope within WWE that they could get Daniel Bryan to change his mind about not coming back.

We will wait patiently on Daniel Bryan’s AEW debut. Until that date happens we will continue monitoring this ongoing story here at Ringside News.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
