WWE released Aiden English from his contract last year, and it took a while before he started reemerging in the pro wrestling world. Now he’s popping up all over the place.

Off the heels of news that The Drama King is coming to Impact Wrestling, he has a new gig. Matt Rehwoldt will join the New Japan Pro-Wrestling commentary team for their Resurgence event on August 14th. The company made this announcement official on Twitter.

Resurgence gets a new addition to the English broadcast team! Bringing a wealth of experience in the ring and on the mic, Matt Morris (@DramaKingMatt) will join the broadcast team for #njresurgence August 14 on @fitetv!

Aiden English was on 205 Live commentary prior to his WWE release. So, he knows how to call the action in the ring. This has seemingly opened a new door for him outside of Vince McMahon’s company as well.

Drama King Matt is going to be factored into the Impact Wrestling storylines as a performer as well. It seems that fans of his had to wait a bit longer to see him on television again, but that patience is now paying off.
