Rhea Ripley is undoubtedly one of the top female Superstars in the company and made a name for herself in NXT before being called up to the main roster.

Rhea Ripley would go on to defeat Asuka at WrestleMania 37 to win the RAW Women’s Championship and since then has been a fixture of Monday Night RAW. She has had a great year so far and even Vince McMahon is a fan of her work.

However, quite a few fans are not really liking her current character on Monday Night RAW from the looks of it. While speaking to Graham Matthews of Bleacher Report, Rhea Ripley used Stone Cold Steve Austin as an example to address her critics and also for not assigning the typical role of a babyface or heel to someone.

Rhea Ripley further added that she doesn’t believe there should be designated babyfaces and heels in pro wrestling and that wrestlers should be free to do their own thing.

“People just have to pick one. It’s the same with Stone Cold. Was he really going out being such a nice guy? No, he wasn’t, and people loved him for it, so I don’t see why people are getting so angry about my feud with Charlotte and getting so confused over it when I’m pretty much doing the same thing I was doing in NXT and people loved me for it. I don’t believe there should be designated faces and heels. People should go out there and do their thing and you choose whether you like that person or not.”

Rhea Ripley is set to defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view on July 18th. We will have to wait and see if she will be able to retain her title or not.
