WWE signed a big deal with Peacock, but the rest of the world still gets the WWE Network. Americans found a way around that issue by using a VPN. Apparently, someone smartened WWE up on that tactic.

Fans in America could still access the WWE Network using a VPN. Now, days before Money in the Bank, they are cracking down on this. A tweet has gone viral on showing a screenshot that someone took while trying to access the WWE Network while using a VPN, and it’s not a good sign for those fans.

“Your device is connected to the internet using a VPN or proxy service. Please disable it and try again,” the prompt reads under a large “SIGN IN TO YOUR WWE ACCOUNT” area. It appears that those fans using a VPN will have to get Peacock now.

It appears that WWE is checking for VPN usage now. Unless a fan has a VPN that can get around however WWE is checking for VPN use, then it looks like WWE has found a solution to their problem.

This is certainly frustrating a lot of fans out there. Also, let this article serve as a “heads up” to any of our American readers who were still enjoying the WWE Network while they could.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
