After several months of floundering on the main roster in WWE, former WWE Superstar Aleister Black was released by the company back in June of this year, much to the shock of fans and pro wrestlers alike.

Aleister Black shocked the pro wrestling world when he made his debut on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Going by the name Malakai Black, he laid out both Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson, signalling his intentions.

While speaking on a Twitch stream, Malakai Black talked about his AEW debut and mentioned how much of a hassle it was keeping the debut under wraps. Black then revealed only a handful of people were aware of his debut beforehand.

“We made it a thing to make it available to as limited people as possible because that’s how you keep it under wraps. Security, Cody Rhodes, and a few others. It may have been five or six total people. It was a good feeling. It’s been a rough seven or eight months but I feel like I got a win last night. I feel wrestling got a win.”

With Malakai Black now finally in AEW, it seems his first feud will be with Cody Rhodes. We will have to see how their feud will be booked in the company.
