WWE is bringing SummerSlam to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 21st. That will be a big event and all hands are on deck. No matches have been made official, but John Cena vs Roman Reigns is strongly rumored. That hype helped the company sell a load of tickets.

According to the Sports Business Journal, WWE sold 30,000 SummerSlam tickets in rapid fashion. Those went within the first 12 hours.

Dave Meltzer commented on this during Wrestling Observer Radio where it was said that between 36,000 and 37,000 tickets have been sold at this point. They have 41,661 seats open for the event.

SummerSlam tickets flew out of the box office on the presale alone, with some fans paying thousands of dollars for single ticket. WWE’s biggest part of the summer won’t even be the hottest ticket in Las Vegas that night as Manny Pacquiao is set to face Errol Spence Jr. in a boxing match. WWE has promised that SummerSlam will be over in time for fans to watch that fight which is expected to start between 11:00 PM and midnight EST.

Allegiant Stadium is set up to hold over 70k, but WWE is not selling all of those seats. They have some portions blocked off for production and the stage.

Are you one of the 36k fans who bought a ticket for SummerSlam already? Sound off in the comments!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
