Dave Chappelle is widely regarded as one of the best comedians on the planet. Vince McMahon might agree with that. The Chairman made a very rare public appearance on Saturday night where he attended one of the legendary comic’s gigs.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE is on the search to hire more comedy writers. This is push that brought them Kenice Mobley, who the company later fired after she admitted on podcast that she knew nothing about pro wrestling and got the job anyway.

Vince McMahon has a tremendous work ethic and he doesn’t take time off to do leisure activities. We have to wonder if McMahon was at that Chappell comedy show for business reasons.

He posed with comedian Donnell Rawlings backstage at the comedy show at Premier Theater in Mashantucket, CT, and that drew a lot of attention. Stephanie McMahon was also seen in the photo.

We’ll have to see if this results in any new comedic segments on WWE television. McMahon might be looking for inspiration, but he could be on the search for more comedy writers as well.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
