Ruby Riott is no longer a WWE Superstar after the company released her. She had many memorable moments in WWE, including a match against Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Title. That match was very entertaining, but The Baddest Woman On The Planet wanted more time with the leader of the Riott Squad.

While speaking to The Wrestling Perspective, Ruby Riott went over her match against Ronda Rousey. It didn’t turn out the way she wanted, but that match at the Elimination Chamber 2019 pay-per-view was certainly one she will never forget as it was followed by her first main event on RAW.

Rousey rallied for Ruby and her to have a rematch and that match stands as one of Ruby’s favorites that she had in WWE.

“Elimination Chamber came and it didn’t come to fruition as we had hoped. After that, I was bummed, but I understood. She actually rallied for me to have a rematch. She pitched for it and pushed for it hard and got it to happen. The following night, I main evented Raw for the first time and we had this match that we had worked so hard on perfecting and it’s probably one of my favorite matches I had in the company. There was so much that led up to it and so much time and such a story that I wanted to tell that I didn’t think I would be able but because Ronda is the best, she allowed me to do that. I was really grateful.”

“It was bleeding into WrestleMania and she was going to main event WrestleMania. I knew there was a lot of trust in me to have a match with her, let alone have a good match. She was the star. Not to take anything away from Ronda because she caught on so fast. She was so humble and didn’t have anything to prove. She was just happy to be there and it was awesome to work with someone so excited about wrestling and inspiring,”

Ronda Rousey is pregnant and awaiting the birth of her first child. Husband Travis Browne is very excited for that event as well. WWE fans will also be thrilled if and when she ever returns to the ring. That will hopefully happen eventually, but Rousey has a lot of things on her plate right now that take priority.

When it comes to Ruby Riott, she will certainly have a lot of interest once her 90-day non-compete clause is over. She won’t be returning to the Heidi Lovelace name, something that she explained in great detail. The name Ruby just means too much to her at this point.
